Recycling is basically the process of using waste material. The basic aim of recycling is to reduce the consumption of new sources of energy. The materials which can be recycled are glass, electronic, paper, textiles, plastic and metal. Alpcorecycling is doing a good job http://www.alpcorecycling.com/metals-recycling.html
Recycling has numerous environmental benefits. Recycling saves energy and conserves natural resources. Recycling turns materials that would otherwise become waste into valuable resources. Recycling prevents pollution caused by the manufacturing of products from virgin materials.
The process of recycling paper instead of making it from new materials generates 74 percent less air pollution and uses 50 percent less water. Recycling steel and tin cans saves 74 percent of the energy used to make them.
Metals can be recycled indefinitely without loosing any of their properties. Aluminium can be recycled indefinitely, as reprocessing does not damage its structure. The junk mail Americans receive in one day could provide heat for over 240,000 homes. Recycling an aluminum can saves 95% of the energy needed to make aluminum from bauxite ore.
Steel and aluminium are common metals in the UK and are produced and exist in large quantities. They may be found in items as varied as cars, computers, buildings and packaging. Modern batteries are often promoted on their environmental qualities. Some metals, especially aluminum, are so profitable to recycle. Battery recyclers claim that if a steady stream of batteries, sorted by chemistry, were available at no charge, recycling would be profitable.
The amount of aluminum and steel cans that Americans use every day could fill the country’s need for airplanes every three months the lead-acid battery has led the way in recycling. Battery recycling plants require that the batteries be sorted according to chemistries.. Metals are usually completely recycla
