In France alone, companies spend more than €400 million a year in useless printing—the equivalent of 1.2 million trees! The production of a single ton of paper represents between 1 and 2 tons of wood, consumes between 5 and 15 m3 of water and requires some 80 kg of chlorine to bleach the paper. It’s a fact: the paper industry is still one of the world’s biggest polluters. These alarming statistics force us to question the consumption of paper in companies. How can they address this problem on a daily basis? Is responsible consumption possible? Does a system of laws or labels exist to help get companies on the right track?
