Highly Fragrant Candles – Fill Containers and Recycle

As a candle maker, I find that filling any kind of tumbler, jar, glass, or metal container with a highly fragrant candle, makes a wonderful gift idea. These blue tumblers are new and I purchased them to make birthday or party gifts.

Candle makers must remember to test all wicks to find the right candle wick for the size of container which they are going to fill. Check with a wick manufacturer who specializes in candle wicks. They can give you an honest estimate as to candle wick size and preference for containers. I purchased a very nice ribbon which I tie and glue around the container. Make sure to use glue strong enough to withstand higher temperatures. You won’t need a lot of glue just a few drops will due. Containers and ribbon you can find for sale at any department store or online. These can be purchased at very low cost to any candle lover.

I also enjoy re-filling used containers with highly fragrant candles. These are containers which have been used before and are given to me. Even a old coffee cup is a perfect candle container. I then clean and refill containers with a highly fragrant candle.  Be very careful when cleaning delicate glass containers. Most old containers just need a little bit of cleaning and they are almost new again.

This is a fabulous way for every one to recycle those old containers they have lying around the house, garage, or buried in their basement. As a candle maker you can feel great knowing that you have put your candle making talents to good use by helping to clean up the environment.

I have a passion for making highly fragrant candles that everyone can enjoy.
