Why use renewable energy?

Renewable energy is  the new craze that is sweeping away home owners with the hopes of reducing energy bills, increading the value of the house, and getting green.  The way this economy is weighing down on everyone, and living in a world that is so energy and electricity dependant, more and more folks are considering renewable energy as a viable option. The best part is its doable and not as expensive as you’d think.

What are the benefits?

– It is clean
– It is safe for the environment
– It’s quite efficient
– It can save you lots of money
– The value of your home will increase
– The power companies might pay you to use your stored energy

Is it expensive?

That depends on how you go about it.  If you want to purchase a ready made system and get it installed then you are looking at upwards of $20,000 to $40,000.  Honestly, my opinion is that the reason why it is so expensive to get it done is because people are intimidated about the idea of setting up a renewable energy source themselves, or they think that some specific skill or experience is involved, which is not true at all.

If you decide to do it yourself, the entire setup including materials, doesn’t have to cost more thant $200 to $300.  As a result your hydro bill will almost cease to exist. In fact, hydro companies have been known to pay people for the ability to use their stored energy. Renewable energy is stored and always there, and that is why these systems work so well. No matter what you will always be able to harness the wind or sun to produce your energy.

How do I start?

– Figure out which form of energy you want to harness. You’re going to have to build either a wind turbine or a solar panel system.
– Find a location around your home where you have maximum sunlight for most of the day or a high level area where wind is nice and strong.  This is where you will place the system that you choose to build.
– Find a simple, easy step-by step guide that will help you do-it-yourself and build a home made system or more than one systems.
– Take action and get to work.  Remember it will really be worth it!

I am sure this article has given you something to think about, and you can probably envision having a solar or wind energy source powering your home.  I want to make sure you don’t lose sigh of the potential.  What you really need right now is a step-by-step guide to show you how to do all of this yourself so it doesn’t cost you an arm and a leg to set up, and also ends up saving you money at the end.

Do you want a step-by-step simple guide on how to make your home a solar and wind powered machine, at a fraction of the cost by doing it yourself?
