As with many of Bosch’s kitchen appliances, Bosch dishwashers are available in three selections: Logixx, Exxcel and Classixxx. Logixx have the highest specification models within their selection, whereas Classixx dishwashers are basic, practical appliance, leaving the Exxcel selection somewhere in the middle of the range.
The Logixx range of Bosch dishwashers is available in silver, white and fully clad stainless steel, depending on the model that you choose. The Logixx ActiveWater Dishwashers are the highest specification Bosch dishwashers that are currently available. They are available in both silver and white and have 14 place settings, six programmes and are recommended by the Energy Savings Trust. This is probably because these particular models are rated A for energy efficiency, A for wash performance and A for drying performance. These models also use just 10 litres of water on an Eco 50?C wash, making Logixx Bosch washing machines extremely environmentally friendly compared with some of Bosch’s other appliances and some of the dishwashers available from some other manufacturers. The Logixx range does come with quite a hefty price tag though and if it is just something simple that you are after, a Classixx range of Bosch dishwasher may suit your needs a little bit better.
The Classixx 60cm dishwasher is also available in silver and white. Despite being the most basic of the Bosch freestanding dishwashers, these Classixx dishwashers still have twelve place settings, are Energy Savings Trust recommended and were awarded Which? Best Buy in March this year. This is no small feat is it would have had to compete with hundreds of different models from dozens of manufacturers to win that title. Which? Is an independent reviewer and has been for decades, so this is an award that can be trusted.
These ‘basic’ Bosch dishwashers have energy efficiency ratings of A, a wash performance rating of A and a drying performance rating of A and uses 13 litres of water on the Daily / Economy 50?C programme, which is a few more than the Logixx models, but is still pretty good. This model has four wash programmes- the Quickwash programme takes just 29 minutes, but the wash time can be cut down even more if you have half a load, you can press the half load button and the washing time is reduced and the amount of water used is reduced by 30%, which is a feature that probably went towards this appliance being recommended by the Energy Savings Trust. The Energy Savings Trust is a Government backed initiative that encourages manufacturers to make their products more energy efficient in an attempt to preserve the environment.
If the Logixx is a bit too much, but the Classixx is not quite enough for the kind of Bosch dishwasher that you re looking for, the Exxcel range is still available. Exxcel dishwashers are available in white, silver and black and the models at the top of the Exxcel range have thirteen place settings, five programmes and like the others are rated A for energy efficiency and come recommended by the Energy Savings trust.
